Yes on Measure C
I live in Salinas and travel in my work as a teacher to many areas.
We need to improve our roads. We need to plan housing so it is
affordable and convenient to go to work and shop. We need to
cooperate to cut down on pollution and use our resources wisely. It
doesn't take voting on every issue to do this! It takes going to
meetings and compromising for the good of all. That is why we should
vote "yes" on Measure C and "no" on Measures A and B, which will
cause many problems and serve special-interest groups.
Growth happens. Manage growth by voting for the supervisors who
represent us. Then support their work by attending meetings and
writing letters to make sure they know your position. Vote "yes" on
Measure C which took nearly seven years of meetings attended by many
groups of people. Vote "no" on Measure A which did not follow the
same process.
Don't stop participating. Keep working to improve the general plan
so we all can live in peace and comfort together.
