No on Measure A
Why are some supporters of Measure A maligning REALTORS? Instead of
advocating for their Initiative, they've resorted to mudslinging and
nasty cartoons. These are desperate actions normally used when
campaigns are losing.
The Monterey County Association of REALTORS has over 1,800 members,
and a majority contributes voluntarily to the Issues Mobilization
Political Action Committee. The donation made by Monterey County
REALTORS to the No On Measure A campaign is not from L.A. REALTORS,
and the critics know it. All IMPAC donations from over 130 REALTOR
associations statewide are sent to a
central bank account in Los Angeles, where the state association is
headquartered. Funds in that PAC account are available to local
REALTOR Associations for issues such as Measure A. When requested,
checks are cut from that account. MCAR REALTORS have contributed to
IMPAC for decades, and those contributions total several times the
amount contributed to this campaign.
REALTORS care about their communities. They contribute in many ways
to help make Monterey County a better place to live and work and
raise families. That's why the Monterey County Association of
REALTORS opposes
Measure A. Vote "no" On A.
