No on A
Marlys Maher is correct in her May 31 letter when she states the
Community General Plan was not written "behind closed doors by
out-of-county attorneys."
Unfortunately for us citizens, the Community General Plan
Intitiative - the one actually on the ballot as Measure A - was.
They are two different documents.
I debated LandWatch's Chris Fitz on April 25, where he admitted to
attendees that, indeed, 12 pages of the LandWatch Initiative have
not been made available to the public. The Planning Commissison will
never see them. They have not gone through an Environmental Impact
Report. We will never know how those pages will impact our lives for
the next 25 years.
One page written behind closed doors is enough for me, let alone 12.
When you vote on Tuesday, think of the "Ts:" two lawyers, 12 pages,
25 years. Vote "no, no, yes, yes."
