He would have voted
no
Mel Spehn wrote that he thought Nick Lombardo would be turning over
in his grave at the sight of all the Measure A signs, both Yes and
No. Well, considering my cousin's position on good planning, respect
of
property rights and property, including agricultural lands, and for
commerce so that workers can afford to live in the community in
which they are employed, Nick Lombardo would be waving a No on A
sign today on Carmel Valley Road.
Nick Lombardo believed
in processes that allowed for diversity of thought, conversation
about ideas and resolutions of problems, bringing together those
thoughts no matter how diverse. He fought long and hard for a good,
workable and fair general plan in this county. Unfortunately, he is
not here to continue
the fight, but he would have said No on A, No on B and Yes on C.
