Pine Cone poll
solidly against Measure A
FINAL RESULTS of the Carmel Pine Cone poll of subscribers to the
paper’s email edition show that opposition to a LandWatch-backed
general plan ballot
measure remains strong with just a few days to go before the June 5
election.
“Among our Internet subscribers, 51 percent said they are opposed to
Measure A, and just 31 percent said they favor it,” Pine
ConePublisher Paul Miller said, with 18 percent expressing no
opinion.
A competing ballot measure backed by the county board of
supervisors, Measure C, was supported by participants in the poll by
a margin of 44 percent in favor to 32 percent opposed, with 24
percent expressing no opinion. According to Miller, 188 people
participated in the poll.
