No on Measure A
As a concerned citizen and member of the Monterey County community
for over 20 years, I have been following the progress of the GPU4
and Measure A.
What concerns me most about Measure A is its complete lack of
flexibility. Coming from a business background, I know any plan has
to be a living document. Communities, like businesses, grow and
change and our ability to support them has to do the same. Measure
A, however, written by out- of-town lawyers without input from our
communities will set regulations in place without change for 25
years.
If you look at the changes that have occurred in our communities
over the past 25 years and appreciate that the rate of change is
accelerating, how can we support anything that inhibits our ability
to adapt?
Please, vote "no" on Measure A.
