No accountability
My blood was boiling after reading The Herald's coverage of the "No
on A" campaign's efforts to mask the true identities of the
corrupted politicians, real
estate developers, Big Ag, and real estate agents who are paying big
money trying to defeat Measure A. As if it weren't enough that they
have bought the Board of Supervisors to the point where the only
plans our elected officials support look like Gilroy. As if it
weren't enough that they are cynically hiding their true interests
from voters by calling themselves "Plan for the People." (If they
are "Plan for the People," then Wal-Mart is a corner grocery store!)
Now the "No on A" con artists are telling us that the recent
$150,000 check they accepted from the Los Angeles-based California
Association of Realtors
($150,000!) doesn't mean that their plan is just about making money
and turning our rich agricultural land into their lucrative housing
developments. I'm
beginning to think that "No on A" actually means "No on
Accountability."
