Research before you
decide
I have followed the general plan debate for years, but it is
complicated, and I still have questions.
Even though I know which way I will be voting, I am still asking
questions. One question I had was in regard to the in-lieu fees for
construction of a single home. Claims have been made of $400,000 or
more. I e-mailed both LandWatch and Common Ground. I got prompt,
professional and informative responses from both.
The future of Monterey County is in our hands. It is a big
responsibility and you must make sure you are informed. Don't base
your decisions on who has more signs or on a few bullet points on a
flyer. Do the research, ask questions, then make your choice based
on what you want to see happen to Monterey County over the next 20
years.
It is your responsibility to make an educated decision. All of our
futures depend on it.
