Vote 'no' on Measure
A
As a 39-year resident of this fair county, I would say our elected
officials, county planners, city planners, developers and
environmental groups have battled successfully or unsuccessfully,
depending on which side you are on, collectively have kept this
county as a very fair place to live.
Controversy over the next general plan is eliminated by
understanding the difference between those who formulated the plans.
The Community General Plan Initiative was developed by two attorneys
behind closed doors and was never submitted for an EIR review. It is
ironic that LandWatch and friends sue over EIRs.
The General Plan Update 4, approved by the Board of Supervisors, had
input from farmers, unions, Realtors, business members, chambers of
commerce, the tourist industry, hotel workers, transportation,
vineyards and employers. GPU4 had four EIR reviews. GPU4 is likely
to continue the good work of past general plans.
Keep the planning system intact.
Vote "no" on Measure A.
